Incentifying your staff to work may seem a mammoth task. There are certainly some benefits that lay within giving your staff the motivation they need to create good work, in an efficient manner, however this is easier said than done.
We may think that if our staff aren’t motivated, then perhaps they are not the right staff for us; however, we can’t not let some blame lies at our own doors. A good working environment, good benefits for your workers and great communication are going to be vital in creating success well into 2020.
So what exactly will deeply incentify your staff? It’s much more than money, it’s job satisfaction and great benefits.
Plenty of well oiled businesses are offering their staff exceptional benefits that keeps them wanting to set their alarms for 6:15am every single morning, and by looking at employee benefits and payroll management you can start to implement them into your business. So let’s break it down a little further:
- Create community – the most fulfilling part of a job is feeling as though you are much satisfied and feeling as if you are part of a bigger network. Creating community within the office space will help your staff feel motivated. Offer free food, great coffee machines, social mixers after work, team building lunches and ensure that their communication with each other is great.
- Keep them feeling healthy – working nine to five can be a slog for workers, it can take its toll on your body and your mind, so incentifying them with health benefits can really prove to be beneficial. Offer them reduced rates for gym memberships, give them gift vouchers for a spa day or health care that includes eye health, chiropractic care and dentistry. You will find that other companies will be willing to work with you on some kind of commission, so it’s a win-win situation.
- Make them feel human – take the time to start talking to your staff. Make them feel human. It may not strike a chord immediately, but often employees can feel as if they are just a cog in a huge wheel and their work goes without recognition. To some workers, this may be a huge negative within the workspace. Take the time to spend ten minutes or so out of the day to chat to them, when you’re in the office, make the time to see how they’re doing and what they may need any assistance with – some workers may be too proud or shy to speak up.
Within our businesses, we have the ability to create jobs for those who need them but also for people who want them. We can create a profitable working day, every day with a few schemes, bonuses and a little tender loving care. Start creating dynamic plans for the future, to shape a better working office space, and ensure that you take on board feedback and your employees’ wishes and desires.
You may not be able to fill them all but getting to know what’s working and what isn’t is going to be prove massively beneficial!
