If there’s one thing that almost every business needs, it’s customers. Without customers, no matter how hard you work, or how great your ideas are, you’ve got nothing. You won’t make money, you won’t be able to grow, and you’ll never be a success. But, finding the customers that you need can be tough.

Continually finding new customers, looking for ways to reach a new audience and bring new people to your business is exhausting. It can seem as though it’s taking up far too much of your time. Time that could be spent elsewhere.

That’s why it’s vital that you inspire confidence. If your customers are confident that your business will be able to give them what they need, deliver on promises, and meet their expectations, they will keep coming back. You’ll still need to find more customers to grow, but you’ll have a strong base of loyal customers and support that keep coming back, that stick with you even when things are tough. But how do you inspire this kind of confidence? Let’s take a look.

Listen

Your customers don’t just want you to give them what they need. They want you to listen to them, to take their feedback and ideas on board, and even to get to know them. They want you to be there to listen to them and offer solutions when they’ve got problems or needs.

To listen to them, you need to be there. If you’ve got social media channels, you need to be on the end of them to reply to messages and comments. You need to set up Business Voicemail Greetings and out of office emails so that they know you are listening and will get back to them even when you aren’t working.

Be Honest

When things go wrong, if you can’t fulfill and order or your service is running late, it can be tempting to ignore it and hope for the best or to lie to your customers. But, the best thing that you can do is be honest with them. Explain what happened and why and tell them what you are going to do to fix the problem. They’ll appreciate your honesty, and they’ll be grateful that you have taken the time to tell them. They’ll also feel more confident in you because you’ve got a plan.

Be Reasonable

Businesses make promises. They promise certain services, low prices, fast deliveries, and other deadlines. Making promises is great. Your customers like guarantees. But, only if you can keep them. Making promises that you can’t possibly keep won’t help. So, don’t. If things change and you can no longer meet your guarantees, stop making them.

Make It Easy

Customers like things to be easy. They want to come in and shop, or find the services that they want, and get them. Simplicity makes them more confidence. If it’s easy, it has to be right, and it has to be worth it. If it’s too hard, why? If your pricing strategy is hard to understand, they’ll want to know what you are hiding, or what you are trying to charge them for. Keep everything simple, and they’ll feel more confident in your company.
