Employee morale is such an important part of maintaining a healthy workplace. As a business owner or a manager, it is crucial for us to invest in the happiness of our employees if they are to reach their full potential and work productively.
Today we are going to take a look at some of the different ways we can boost employee morale on a daily basis in the office as well as a few special things you can introduce into your office life to help employees bond and form friendships in the workplace.
Go for a retreat
One of the first ways you can boost morale is to book a retreat or a corporate yacht charter for your employees one weekend. A corporate trip is a great idea because it will bring your employees out of the workplace and allow them to get to know each other in a non-workplace setting. Doing this will help your team get along in a whole new way and by the time you all get back to the office you will know each other better and people will feel happier at work.
Have a company dinner
If you don’t want to spend a whole lot of money on a corporate trip or retreat, a great alternative to this is to have a company dinner in your local city. On a Friday evening after work you can take everyone to a restaurant and enjoy a nice meal and drinks as a group. This can be a brilliant way for you to get everyone feeling calm and relaxed after a hard week at work and it will be such a good morale booster for the following Monday.
Try parking lot yoga
One way to make a positive change to your employee’s life as well as make them feel happier at work is to choose a day of the week, and organize some yoga in the morning in your parking lot. Yoga is a form of physical meditation and it is good for the body and the soul. It will help to wake everyone up for the day, flex their muscles, and will help them to feel refreshed ready for the day ahead. It is also a good way for everyone to have a laugh and chat outside of the work setting.
Create an inspiring space
The office is a huge part of making your employees happy, and if you are to make your employees feel happy and full of morale you need to create the most inspiring workplace that you can. This means adding colour to the walls, inspirational quotes, plants, candles, and allowing your employees to personalise their desks with photos or toys they love. Creating a lively space such as this is an important way for you and it will help your employees become more productive as well as alert.
